  Robert F. Thomas Chapel

Step inside this one-room country church where the simple wooden pews and hardwood floors echo with the sounds of families and neighbors gathering for Sunday morning worship. Join us at the chapel—named in honor of the doctor who delivered little Dolly Rebecca Parton—for services each Sunday at 11:30 a.m. (regular operating season) or 5:30 p.m. (Christmas season).

  Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame & Museum

Some of Dolly’s earliest musical memories are the beautiful hymns that she sang in church—centuries-old southern gospel music that has echoed through these mountains for centuries. The Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame & Museum’s memorabilia and exhibits pay tribute to the legends of Southern Gospel in this 3,000-square-foot facility that highlights the jtheney of those who have preserved this cherished music.

  Smoky Mountain Home

You’ll get a true feeling of what Dolly means when she speaks of her Tennessee Mountain upbringing as you visit this two-room replica of her Locust Ridge childhood home. Though it lacked electricity and running water, love was abundant in this tiny little mountain house that Dolly and her family called home.

  Eagle Mountain Sanctuary

This 30,000-square-foot aviary houses the country’s largest presentation of non-releasable bald eagles. Get a rare glimpse of some of nature’s most impressive birds of prey in this beautiful mountain setting as members of the American Eagle Foundation interact with these spectacular animals.

Calico Falls Schoolhouse

Chalk and slate boards take the place of pen and paper in this 1890s one-room schoolhouse that offers visitors a close-up view of the nineteenth century classroom. A wood stove in the corner reminds you of a simpler time when the empty desks once welcomed students eager to learn about the ever-changing world outside the mountains of East Tennessee.

  Tennessee Tornado

What happens when a mighty twister sweeps through an old Tennessee Mining Company? Locals say the swirling winds twisted ore into what we now call the Tennessee Tornado. A force of nature all its own, this triple spiro-looping coaster makes you feel like you've landed inside a funnel cloud as you zoom down a 128-foot drop through the mountain at speeds of 70 mph. It's enough to make local weather forecasters issue a "Tennessee Tornado Warning!"

  The Thunderhead

An old sawmill once moved lumber out of the mountains at Thunderhead Gap. Wood is still the focus, but now the operation known as the Thunderhead is the wildest ride in the woods! Carefully situated between two mountains, this massive wooden coaster stands tall among the mighty trees and takes advantage of the area’s rough and tumbles terrain to create a daring ride featuring a 100-foot drop and a top speed of 55 mph.

Dolly's cousin Clovis has invented a brand new all terrain vehicle with you in mind. His wild and wacky tthe of the Smokies is like no other, especially when he drafts Dolly to be his tthe guide.   Soaker Springs
