This museum is recognized among
university museums for its outdoor sculpture collection and for the quality of
its exhibition program.
The art collection, owned by
the Wichita State University Endowment Association and managed by the
professional staff of the museum, now numbers more than 7,500 objects.
Nineteenth and twentieth century European and American paintings, drawings,
sculpture, and prints form the core of the museum's collection.
