America situated at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers. It is the
capital city of the province of Manitoba, which borders the provinces of Ontario
to the east, Saskatchewan to the west, Nunavut to the north, and the U.S. states
of Minnesota and North Dakota to the south. It is 1,300 miles west of
Toronto and is Manitoba's only major city.
